Sea Otters



In our new reading book, Island of the Blue Dolphins, hunters come to the Island of the Blue Dolphins to hunt sea otters.  The scientific name for sea otters is Enhydra Lutris.  The are found in shallow waters in the North Pacific Ocean.  Sea otters like to hang out in kelp beds.  They wrap themselves in the the kelp when they are resting.
